Program of the day
MORNING
Leaving Sober
We will start the day by taking our private vehicle directly to Lavacolla, about 10 kilometres away from Santiago de Compostela, to reach the city as true pilgrims, as we will walk the last stretch of the French Way.
With a simple and predominantly urban route, this short stage will allow us to soak up the pilgrim atmosphere at its best, reaching the majestic Plaza do Obradoiro where we will admire the extreme beauty of the façade of the Cathedral of Santiago.
MIDDAY
Lunch in Santiago de Compostela
At the end of our route we will go to the Restaurant Casa Marcelo, recognised with a Michelin Star thanks to its fusion cuisine where different cultures such as Japanese, Mexican or Peruvian blend with typical Galician products to offer us creative dishes, full of flavour and of the highest quality.
The restaurant is characterised by the interaction of the chefs with the customers, as well as by its original large central table where you can share the space with other diners and have a lively chat with locals and tourists.
AFTERNOON
Guided tour of the historic centre of Santiago
The historic centre of Santiago de Compostela, which unfolds around the imposing Cathedral, is an incomparable monumental, spiritual and cultural spectacle, recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on 4 December 1985.
With a local guide we will walk through the narrow streets, squares and various monuments and discover all the ins and outs of the history of this historic city.
NIGHT
Rest
We will have the opportunity to continue to wander the cobbled streets of the centre of Santiago for dinner at a restaurant of our choice. We will then head to the heart of Santiago, the Plaza do Obradoiro, one of the most visited squares in the world, to stay at what is considered to be the oldest hotel in Spain, the Parador de Santiago de Compostela, also known as the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos.
This nowadays elegant hotel started out as a hospital for pilgrims arriving in Santiago after long periods of walking. This magnificent building, which has witnessed centuries of history, will be the last place we spend the night on our journey. It offers all the comforts and luxuries we could need to end this adventure in the best possible way.
