Back to the New World
❡ Baiona, a port city with great historical relevance given that it was the point of arrival of La Pinta in 1493, the first caravel to make port after the adventure of the new world and which, consequently, became the first European port where the discovery of America was announced. Program of the day

MORNING
Departure from Oia
Today we will put on our boots again. Our day starts with a short 6-kilometre walking section of the stage to Baiona. On this occasion, we will be walking along the Portuguese Coastal Route. We will be walking accompanied at all times along the Galician coastline.
The stage does not present any difficulty. We only have to bear in mind that on hot and very sunny days, it is advisable to wear a hat and sun protection as shady areas are scarce in this part of the Camino.

MIDDAY
Free lunch in Baiona
Upon arrival in Baiona, and before having lunch on your own in the town, we will take a boat trip along the Vigo estuary.
After sailing, we will have free time for lunch in the historic center of Baiona. We can also visit the highlights of the town, such as the Fortress of Monterreal, where the Parador de Baiona is located, the replica of the caravel La Pinta, the Cruceiro de Trindade and the Church of Santa María.

AFTERNOON
Arriavl at Cambados
After lunch and after visiting the beautiful town of Baiona, we will head in our private vehicle to another magical and essential enclave of the Rías Baixas: Cambados, the capital of Albariño, where we will have free time to stroll around and buy some souvenirs.
A town linked to wine, in the center of its most emblematic square, is the Pazo de Fefiñans, a historic Renaissance-style building known as home to two Albariño wine cellars that we can visit. Other points of great tourist and historical interest are the Plaza de Fefiñans, the Church of San Bieito, the Torre del Homenaje, the Convent of San Francisco, and the Pazo de los Ulloa.

NIGHT
Dinner at a Michelin star Restaurant
To end the day on a high note, one of the star gastronomic experiences of the trip awaits us, as we will dine at the Yayo Daporta Restaurant in Cambados, which has been awarded a Michelin Star since 2008 and two Repsol Suns since 2015. Their cuisine, which they describe as updated Galician cuisine, is always based on the best local products. They pay special attention to seafood and seasonal fish, accompanied by the best wines in the area.
To rest today, the classic and elegant Parador de Cambados awaits us. The current Parador is located in the old Pazo de Bazán, an elegant manor house with comfortable and bright rooms. This Pazo still has its interior patio and gallery. It is surrounded by a large garden and an outdoor swimming pool.
